HydroSolutions delivers Yankee Doodle Tailings Impoundment Final Environmental Impact Statement to Montana DEQ less than one year after contract award, helping DEQ meet legislatively mandated time frame for environmental review.
On August 13, 2019, the Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) published the Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Montana Resources, LLC Yankee Doodle Tailings Impoundment Expansion in Butte, Montana. Less than a year prior, in August of 2018, HydroSolutions Inc was selected by DEQ as the prime contractor responsible for preparation of this EIS. Over the following year, a dedicated team of Montana Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) and technical experts at HydroSolutions, our subconsultants, and DEQ worked under a rigorous schedule to thoroughly assess the applicant’s proposed action, develop alternatives to the proposed action, solicit public input, and prepare the EIS document. HydroSolutions is pleased to add this EIS to the many MEPA and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) EIS and Environmental Assessment (EA) documents that we have prepared for our state and federal clients.
