On behalf of the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), HydroSolutions has completed a draft of the Comprehensive River Recreation Management Plan (CRRMP) for the Holter Lake-Gates of the Mountains Recreation Area on the Missouri River. The CRRMP covers an area proceeding north from Hauser Dam downstream through upper Holter Lake, continuing through the Gates of the Mountains Recreation Area to the downstream end of Holter Lake and ending at Holter Dam. The CRRMP can be downloaded from the Forest website at www.fs.usda.gov/hlcnf.
HydroSolutions and the planning team will be holding a public open-house meeting to provide information on the CRRMP, describe the needs for change identified at a stakeholder meeting and among the agency resource specialists, and to gather public input on the proposed management direction in the CRRMP. The public open house meeting on the CRRMP will be held on Tuesday, July 30th from 6 to 8 pm at the Helena Supervisor’s Office, 2880 Skyway Drive, Helena, Montana.
