HydroSolutions Completes Investigation for White River Nusiance Alge Problem in Colorado

Nuisance benthic algal productivity in the upper reaches of the White River, above Meeker, CO has caused concern for anglers and others in that area. HydroSoultions was contacted by Elk Creek Ranch to initiate an investigation into the cause of the algae bloom. This, and other efforts, led to the formation of a White River Algae Working Group with a goal of improving the overall health of the watershed. The group has formed a technical advisory committee to guide data collection and research. HydroSolutions' report, Upper White River Watershed Assessment was prepared for Elk Creek Ranch and its owners. The assessment focuses on analysis of existing data within the upper portions of the White River. This assessment is being used by the technical advisory committee as a foundation for their ongoing investigation in the watershed.
