MIKE MEREDITH
Senior Hydrogeologist + Office Manager, Billings
Mike has over a decade of professional geologic, hydrogeologic and environmental experience in Wyoming and Montana. Since 2011, Mike has worked at HydroSolutions, where he focuses on the application of field studies, analytical and numerical groundwater models (MODFLOW), and statistical methods to understand and quantify the hydrogeologic behavior of groundwater and surface water systems. Mike frequently works on investigating property damage associated with groundwater or surface water, water rights permitting, construction dewatering plans, private and municipal water well development, groundwater and soil contamination investigations, and hydrogeologic evaluations in support of energy and natural resource projects. Mike is adept at using the Python and R programming languages to automate tasks and to manage and analyze data. He is a licensed Professional Geologist in the state of Wyoming.
Mike serves on the Steering Committee of the Yellowstone River Research Center at Rocky Mountain College and has served as a judge for the MSU-Billings/ Billings Clinic Science Expo. He is a member of the National Ground Water Association and the Montana Geological Society.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys camping and other activities with his wife and two children, as well as swimming and running—and he has more hobbies than time.
